Hi! I'm Kara, thanks for checking out my work.  I grew up in the midwest and the Carolinas, and currently live in Montana.  My original love for handmade jewelry probably comes from my grandparents.  On my Mom's side, my grandparents loved turquoise, coral, shell, and onyx handmade sterling silver jewelry.  Most of their pieces came from their travels to New Mexico.  I have memories with my grandfather, sifting around in the creeks of North Carolina garnet hunting, and my most prized gifts from them are handmade sterling silver pieces.  On my father's side, my grandmother has generously gifted me with with many beautiful pieces of handmade jewelry and has inspired me greatly.  Both sets up grandparents taught me craft skills and gave me the desire to create.  I've always admired the jewelry artisans that I own pieces by, but never thought I would make any myself.  Then one day, I just decided, I'm going to learn! I'm still learning, but I hope you like what I've made so far. Thank you!! :)
